Hi Everyone
Thanks for the support. I made it through the day even through lunch with an egg and lettuce sandwich. Cappacinos may have been my indugences for the next two weeks but well worth it. That was until I forgot an important appointment in the afternoon. That did it as soon as my daughter said she was getting some KFC I was GONE! snack pack please!! Oh well. As you say move on. Hubby's cooking a simple dinner, savoury mince on toast, maybe I'l have some fruit later. Bring on tomorrow!!!!
Green Smoothies???? not sure about that? Sounds interesting!

KM don't let me put you off your smoothies!!! I don't have much dairy product as I get quite chesty (and myhusband says I snore when i do - how mean!!!)
Jill move on. Try not to do the KFC thing again, but just put it all in a box and make today count. Did you know there is a delicious Southern fried chicken mix you can make up - a KISS one - that is delicious. My son has it at least 4 nights a week!! It should be the archive recipes.

Well Jill, for the most part you did great, so pat yourself on the back for that. KFC for a snack, your right, not so great, however it is only one snack and now it is over. You can't do anything about it but you can have control of your next meal. Lynda don't worry it will take more than just a few comments to put me off. When the mood hits thats what I have. Hubby is home for the next week so there is a big challenge for me. Breakfast: Poached eggs on toast MT: 2 Kiwifruit Lunch half a bowl of vege soup and I am just waiting for the bread to come out of the oven and then I am going to have a cheese and onion sandwich Dinner tonight: I am going to do homemade burgers, I made the buns last week and they are in the freezer, and the meat is defrosting for the pattys. Lots of salad stuff to go in them too so that should be good.

Gosh Lynda, I am glad you are having some veges on your pizza, I was beginning to wonder where they were in you daily menu.
I always make my own bread, and have done for years so no biggie there. Actually we are having a slight change on the plan for tonight, since I decided to make a rice pudding. So for the burgers I will have an essene bread roll instead of a normal one, just so I can have some rice pudding.

You are all so upbeat. It's terrific.
I ate well today and made the banana cake recipe, that's nice.
I love hearing what you are all up to, and I'm sorry I haven't joined in more. I haven't quite got the hang of chatting and which forums I'm going to. It's confusing for a complete newbie.
See you soon

It's Father's day here tomorrow. Is it the same over there? We will be visiting and eating all day. My Dad is coming over for late lunch early tea. I'm trying for BBQ chicken, no skin for me, and some kind of vege bake. Hubby's Dad, we will be visiting them for morning tea. I have said that I have to take something that I can eat. Thinking maybe a fruit platter. This forward thinking is making my brain hurt. Planted some corriander today as it seems to be in a couple of recipes, now it will at the ready. Do any of you grow veg from seed? I would love some tips, please. Have a great weekend.

Hi Jill,
Yes I grow from seed so if you have any questions ask. I am not an expert so will do my best answer any of your queries.
I am gearing up for some big planting soon, now that the weather is improving, although we have ad frosts the last two mornings.
BBQs can be very easy because there is normally quite a few salady dishes, so as long as you don't over eat on buns and meat you are pretty safe, have a good day.
We have a roast chicken for dinner, and Miss Fussy is having an attempt at baking a chocolate thingy, and I have homemade ice cream in the freezer, so we are all set for a happy fathers day dinner.

Hi there. Wow back from the weekend. Just a few little comments...
KM - I do have veges I just don't always put them in!!! though, I did think I hadn't had too many last week. Hope "we" enjoyed our "smoothing with spirulina and rocket". I might try cooking some rocket - i just find it quite bitter.
Yes we had Fathers day. The girls ended coming for dinner and I am not sure why I ended up cooking and cleaning, yet again... what a little muggins I am!!! Its always so lovely to have them I just do it!!! Haha.
Food was good over the weekend. Usual egg and toast & vege. Lunch sat crackers and salmon and sunday Pita with cottage cheese beetroot and salad stuff. Dinner Sat was pork steak with apricot sauce and sun pork stir fry with broccoli/cauli/carrots, peas and rice. made an apple and rasberry crumble with a spoonful icecream and 1 serve custard. Very yum!!! Snacks throughout of fruit and lemony date slice serve one day Oh and a huge hours walk - my poor little legs were aching when I got back.
Jill hope you survived your fathers day. Sometimes you just have to be aware and make sure you do better than you would have done if you weren't on programme!!! Thats a good move and shows you are "learning" and moving on!!

Well done Lynda, is it tonight that is your weighin, you should do well. I have been out mowing the lawns (by hand) this morning and I am not even half way through. It is getting hot out there so a break was needed. Made muffins and scrambled eggs for breakfast Lunch: Whole grain roll, coleslaw and chicken, followed up with a few potato chips just cause hubby had the bag open. Dinner: Will do something with some mince I have in the fridge, but not sure what yet. Well I must say that spring seems to have come and we are getting some beautiful days. Today even the wind has stopped, a good day to spend in the garden.

Sounds good what you are up to KM. Yes weigh in tonight. I was down around 750 yesterday morning but I am sure that the scales know weigh in day and today and they were up to around the same as last Monday morning. That so annoys me when they do that!!! Haha. Just have to live with whatever they say as I know I have been good.
Had 2 eggs scrambled for lunch in microwave. 1 vogels with tomato and one with raspberry jam. Cup of tea.
Um, dinner I might have the left over stirfry from last night after weighing in.

New day tomorrow.

Hello Ladies
Great to hear you all have a handle on things. My father's day went very well. We did skip lunch and have an early dinner, so later I we had roast capsicum dip and pita chips. Everybody was happy.
I think my whole family is amazed at what I am making food wise. They all love it. Especially after years of me trying some of the weirdest cooking trying to be healthy.
I met with some friends that I see once a month today and they were very good and brought crackers and tomato, and some fruit. I took the Lemon & Yoghurt cake and they were also amazed.
I would like you to share in my joy. My daughter 26 has got a car. I know that seems a strange statement and it has a story that I'm sure you don't need to hear now, but maybe this will explain it. I HAVE MY CAR BACK...FREEDOM.
OK, moving on .... I'll talk to you again soon

Yay for freedom. It is great when things work out for the better for everyone That is one of the good things about this plan, you don't have to feel you are missing out on anything because all occasions can be catered for. Good on you for keeping to the recipes, that will help a lot in keeping you on track.
