Received 'Fries with That' yesterday.  For me its a nice fresh approach to the Middle Aged Spread Diet.   No difference in portions or foods (let me know if I am wrong). Embarrassed
Book is clearly set out and easy to read.  As I have all Carolyn's books and have copied a big folder of recipes from the archives there where not too many new ones..shame...but I realise there are only so many new recipes one can make. Smile
I had no luck in getting onto www.weighinonline.com/fries-with-that for the printable material mentioned in the book.  Confused   Perhaps I have written the name of the site incorrectly.
I'm glad you like "Fries With That?", I'll pass on your comments to Carolyn.

I'm a bit concerned that you couldn't get on to the special Fries With That page on the website.  What happens when you click on: www.weighinonline.com/fries-with-that?  Do you get any sort of error message?  Are other people able to access the page?

Hi Admin,
well, I have just tried again and this time no problems.   This morning when I tried it just went through to a google type page with lots of sites but not what I was looking for.   I found the food categories on the 'no fries' page of interest so shall go back later for a better look.

I do find a weekly planner somewhat off putting so find the new one day at a time one a much better idea.  I found doing a week at a time if I went off the rails about Wednesday then I just stopped writing down my foods and everything went slowly down hill after that Smile

Have been wondering if a spiral bound exercise book would make a better  daily planner rather than a piece of paper each day...not sure how to draw up each page..specially for the 'Tick page"..the daily planner would be easy enough but drawing lots of boxes to tick off food choices etc might be a pain...perhaps Carolyn would like to have some planners printed in a notebook format we could buy Smile Smile

Thank you for your help...off now to walk off the chocolates a lovely friend gave me yesterday..will be glad when all this Christmas snacking and eating is over!  I do refuse to make this time of the year an excuse to put on any weight!

Grrrr, somehow my book went to the PO Box instead of here, and hubby kept saying he was going to go pick it up, but hasn't yet.
Now he won't be down again until Tuesday probably, so I have to wait. No It is just too much:faint:

Isn't it annoying...waiting for something with anticipation...only not to have it happen!  Hope you get the book early next week....

Hi Ladies,
I've been so busy with work, end of term stuff that i've hardly been around at all. Good news for me though as i weighed in this morning with a 2kg loss!!!! YAY! that takes me to 10.1 kg lost so far (must figure out how to put the ticker on now). Thats 25% of the total i need to lose. I am very pleased because I've not managed to walk these last few weeks, far too busy and far, far too cold. This morning it was -9 but has since warmed up to -2. I did get lots of exercise yesterday shovelling the deep snow out of the driveway though.
I haven't bought Carolyns new book yet but I might give it a whirl if you all think its worth while. What is everyone planning for the christmas holidays? I've got lots of visitors coming my way but am staying put and doing some serious reading and relaxing - i really need it. My battle plan for surviving the christmas period is to feed all chocolates to visitors and be good every  minute that I can so that when I can't be good e.g. dinners out, christmas day etc then it won't be so bad. Hope to maintain my weight and maybe lose a few hundred grams if I'm lucky. Keep me posted on how you are all getting on...
Now I'm off for a walk to take some photos of the lovely snow under beautiful blue skies....just need to piut on a few more layers of clothes...

Well done Sunny, that loss is a great christmas pressie Yes

My plan is to start seriously on boxing day, and it is looking like that should be easy. Hubby is home this week so not much chance of loss, but if I can maintain until christmas that will be fine.

Hi Ladies,
congrats on the loss Sunny, well done.    While you where shovelling snow I was shovelling and sieving compost Smile  We make our own and sometimes it needs sieving just to catch anything that hasnt broken down..snow sounds much better to play with Smile

I like the sound of your Christmas.  Will be a relaxed casual affair here..in fact we havent planned anything so far.  Like you KM will start getting really serious after the 25th.   Will try and not go overboard and will try to keep up some sort of exercise.

Your walk sounds lovely Sunny..much nicer than my trips up and down a dusty rural road watching out for stock trucks, milk tankers and cars!

Excuse any spelling mistakes last time I hit spell check the computer threw a wobbly and I lost my message so shant risk that happening this time.

 Smile Tongue
hI lADIES...oops, bad start.
Weighed myself this morning and despite a very up and down week food wise am the same. So very happy with that.  I shall take it.

Awesome work Sunny - 10.1 is a great motivator for being "as best as you can" on Xmas day - which means having the treats as it is Xmas!!! I was very brave on Saturday out shopping. I bought the chocolate santas the kids (and me of course) like for xmas and vowed I would put them away to Xmas day - AND I HAVE!!!!
Thats a break through for me.

oops work to do!!!
