When I changed the kitchen calendar last year I made a note of my starting weight for the year..pleased to say at the start of this year its 200 grams less..guess thats what you call satisfactory maintenance Smile Smile

Did you weigh on Wednesday Kiwismum?  If so how did it go?

Well done Yvonne, you have maintained well.

Yes I did my weighin, and lost about 1.3kg, but I have had to get through new year, so not sure that I will be holding it all down, we will see next wednesday.

Thats great!  Think positive over the next few days and I am sure you will be fine.   I think we can balance out enjoying food and keeping on an even keel...

The 3 new recipes I tried last week all got a tick of approval, tomorrow its the lamb leg with a balsamic glaze so do hope that turns out okay, a leg of lamb is a bit of a luxury these days...not like when we where kids and it was the weekly roast with leftovers to be eaten for the next day or two Smile

Overcast here at present would be so great if we had some rain..and some proper stuff not this misty drizzle we have had lately....

Thats good about the recipes Yvonne. We tried two new ones last week from the new book as well. They were meet with the kind of approval that I have come to expect from the KK recipes so they are both in the make again file Wink

Had a perfect day yesterday and looking like another one today so that is all good. I did do a sneaky look on the scales and it wasn't as bad as what I thought so if I can weigh in at the same weight it won't be too bad. Still three days until weighin anyway.

Which recipes did you try KM?   It was the ginger teriyaki chicken, beef stroganoff and lemon peppered chicken for us..that may not be quite accurate as far as names go...so tempted at present to turn a couple of over ripe bananas into a cake with lots of chocolate icing but shant!  I know I will certainly eat my share (if not more) so no baking...no temptation...

We did get a little rain last night so thats one bit of good news...

Keep up your good work,  Wednesdays not far away, I am sure you will do well.

Yvonne we had the Garlic-peppered stirfry with cashews and the Bacon wrapped beef mince with a cheese centre. Both were very good although we only used cheddar and not blue vein cheese for the second one.

We had a tiny drop of rain this morning, but nowhere near enough. But then something is better than nothing. A few days worth would be good.

Hi there, you ladies are being so great.  Keep it up.  I am around the same as last weigh in so thats good. Have now eaten my last chocolate santa!  Off to the beach tomorrow for a couple of nights with Husband and grandson!  I have had my pedometer on and not quite 10000 each day but doing really well for me!  Have played tennis three times and am having another game this arvo.

I must say, I am sick of food!!! oh, and preparingit every meal during hte hols.  Daughter is cooking salmon cakes for dinner!!  That will make a nice change for me.

Take care and keep up the great work.  You are to be proud of yourselves.

So lynda, are you back at work.

Sounds like you have done well not to put on over the break, and you have got in plenty of exercise too. Keep up the good work.

Hi Lynda, good to hear from you, no Santas for me Cry but did have the odd candy cane and far too much chocolate Embarrassed  Hope you enjoy your time at the beach, will be a great place to walk.

Hi KM, I have tried the wrapped beef recipe, first time fussy daughter liked it second time she didnt!  I did use the blue vein cheese.  Going off in a minute to make the steak recipe that has walnut bread stuffing...
Spent time this morning catching all the rinse water for the plants, carrying those watering cans to and fro must count as some sort of exercise Smile  Still waiting for some decent rain......

Blue Cheese is not one that I would even bother the fussies with, I don't like it and they turn their noses up just at the thought.

Full watering cans must add up to weight training, so good for you. I tend to use the hose myself, but have been digging up Kikuyu lately so that can be quite hard going.

Hi All

Happy new year to everyone.

Had my first day of good eating after the Christmas feasting.  Will be digging in the garden tomorrow so hopefully that will help get me back on track.

I may have not had time to write on the forum but I would get a quick glance at who was up to what.  I would like to thank you all for keeping me going.  Knowing you were there was a very good thing.  I hope that I can do that for someone else some time.

Happy New year Jill,

Glad you hear that we could help you, even if we didn't know we were doing that.

Good luck with your gardening.

Didn't get into the garden today, looks like a weekend job now.

wish it would cool down a bit,  the humidity is very high.

Onward and upward or downward really!!!! Smile

Bummer, still another new week now so room for improvment.

We have not been too hot here, but we could really do with some rain, we are very very dry. Sad
