Hi ladies, just dropping by for a quick read.  I love blue vein cheese KM could eat a segment all by myself without thinking about it..even managed to convince the fussy husband its not such a bad thing..fussy daughter is another matter Smile

Oh yes, rain, really really need rain..all we seem to get is a passing mist and thats it!  Planted out a few plants today where old ones had died off and the main garden is like a dust bowl.  The smaller ones dotted here and there and containers I carry watering cans too...yes, I reckon 10 L cans count as some sort of weight training Smile  It is a bit of a pain catching the water but if I want the flowers have little choice..have tried to choose plants that survive with little but still have to get them established first.

The layered steak recipe with the walnut bread stuffing went down well the other night.   This coming fortnight have chosen recipes from the kiwi kiss diet cookbook and a couple from the new book.

My boy Jack (dog) was in trouble this morning, he killed a hedgehog,  Sad I know dogs and cats do such things but felt a little sad for the h/hog...he wasnt causing any harm...oh well, keep up the good work ladies, will be back in a day or two... Smile

No on plan meals for me at all on the weekend, this is the problem when husband takes over the cooking..the plum tart with cream and custard was very nice though...I do wish I could interest the other family members (husband and daughter) in healthier eating and even coming for the occasional walk..would help me stay on track thats for sure.

Made the chicken in red wine this week, very nice!  And no, havent touched the rest of the wine (yet)...last night did courgettes in a cream sauce, very simple and tasty but not on plan..tonights devilled sausages from one of the older books...really trying harder today, even put the pedometer on...

Dont know why this year is turning out to be so hard at exercising self control..excuses, excuses... Embarrassed

Well we are having friends over tonight, and the husband has gone fishing so I am expecting to have nice fresh fish for tonight Tongue Can't get much fresher than that so will cook it very simply and just enjoy it.

Back at work.  Just popped in. Will apologise for erros. NEW keyboard with smaller shift key for captials. just worked that out!Not much rain here either. threatens then goes and my mum rings and says, yeh its raining here.  I collect the washing water too, but usually for the toilet as the well is very low right now

Weighed myself last thursday and down 2 kilos then did my official weighin on Monday and up 800 grams - I was annoyed as had been good and deserved the loss, but thats life and I have been really good and on plan.  One complete day total plan yesterday.  |I weighed myself tues morning and was down 1.5! don't you hate that when its not weighin day.

Havent finished reading the new book yet, actually only really started monday.  I like what I have read and skimmed.

Am focusing.  What did I say I would lose by my birthday??  Well that is 8 1/2 weeks - so what do you suggest I should make my goal.  I'd like to say 4 kilos... but that might be a bit rash.  Maybe I should start at 3!!!  Totally achievable I believe if I stick to programme.  So - please keep me in check.

Made the new weeks salad with fresh beetroot and funny little carrots out of garden. LOVE raw grated carrot.  It was yum. Have made a sort of salmon lasagne for dinner tonight which i prepared last nightas its dylan night.  He wandered into the kitchen the other day with a whole cob of corn I'd got ready to cook and ate it raw.  Not a bit left on it!!

Better do som more work.....

Hey Lynda, welcome back. Hope you had a good holiday.

I would say if you are motivated and consistent then 4kg in 81/2 weeks is very doable. That is less than half a kg a week, so go for it is.

This week is very busy, Miss Fussy is having a birthday party on Friday so there will be lots of junky stuff around. I have 16 children plus parents to feed for lunch on that day, then the official birthday on Saturday. Still once it is over it will good.

Still hanging out of r rain here. Sad

Good luck on your meeting tonight Lynda.

Lucky you for having rain, we hardly got any at all, except for lunch time of Miss Fussies birthday, where we had planned a picnic Angry

We need rain and at the moment I would happily do the chores in the rain if it means that the paddocks got watered and the grass grows.

I have had a good eating day today, but that is the only one lately Sad

I hope are are adding to your one good day!!!  One day at a time....

Our vege garden looks much better after the rain and hopefully the peas and tomatoes oh and cucumbers oh and courgettes will do so much better with it.  I don't think I've even had 10 courgettes this year and l used to get that many a day last year!!!

Oh I am being good.  I sort of feel in a "new place" right now... more focused.
Its never the meals for me - its always the snack or comfort stuff.
YOu know that ad on the radio -
I drink when I'm happy, I drink when I'm sad, I drink when I'm mad...well I don't drink but I do eat.  But I am endeavouring to get past that....

Oh Paul came in last night with 5 courgettes and 3 mini apple cucumbers!  He said the peas are finally swelling up.  I picked some beetroot the other day - used it as a hot vege one night, grated cold in the salad we did first week back and then cooked some and put in fridge with vinegar etc.  YUM.

Drove all the way to Penrose this morning and will hve to go home soon (not coming back here though) as left my bank authorisation pin pad in my other handbag - oh der!!!

Have a great day - supposed to be thunderstorms this arvo for you as well!

Well I am sitting here looking out at the sun shining down, not a raincloud in the sky at all. Cry

We have had a lot of beetroot from the garden over the summer in all sorts of ways. I have spent the morning making some beetroot chutney, so that will be something different. I think I only have a couple of big ones left in the garden now, but I have some seedlings ready to go in so there will be plenty over winter.

I have been good with my food, but not perfect. I eat at all those times too, we seem to have the same problem there. It seems to be the evening snacks that do me in so I am trying to be sure that I am not hungry at the end of the day then I will be less inclined to snack.

Good luck with your new will power.

Same here too - weather wise!! Oh no, theres a few clouds but there don't look like theres any rain in them!!

I was surprised to see rcently when I was reading the diet that you could have the bought custard!  It even gave the serving side.  Since then I have kept a little one in the fridge (when the girls don't find it in their visits)  I don't hve a lot of dairy and have had a couple serves after work to get thru to dinner!!
