Oh Lynda how I relate to that. That is the reason my house is so cluttered. Both the girls keep bringing yet more of their stuff home. Everytime the eldest came back from Universtiy she would bring home several more boxes to reside here. But I am also in need of being brutal in the wardrobe. Some of it is just sentimental so there is no excuse for keeping it really.

Ha Ha I have a husband who does that to me, as fast as I clear things out he produces more. He inherited lots from his mother who was a hoarder. We have it in storage, but it is slowly making its way into our little cottage.

Sorry I haven't been posting Lynda, I have popped in and read a few times but not written. We have just gone through a patch where lots of people around us have had personal disasters happening and it has knocked us around emotionally a bit. The two worse were a death of a baby, and an amputation, the others were not such a big deal. Hopefully the worse is over, although the fallout is still happening on one of the big ones.

KM so sorry to hear that you have been having such a difficult time  Sad . It does take a lot out of you when you are supporting others.
But I have to say it is nice to know that you and Lynda are still here to give me support and get me back on track and keep me there.
As usual I am aiming to get to a 5 or 0 and then go for 5 at a time. Far less daunting.
Must try the pound and stone thing. Did that last time and felt I had achieved something when I lost a pound....

Well weigh in today and it is down...Now what a surprise. Still not finding it hard. Feeling very grotty though. Just one of those days. We all have them when we feel low. No reason. Out tomorrow to a craft class (one I am not teaching) so looking forward to that. Means I have to be up and going at 6am which I am not looking forward to though. Will have lunch out which will be nice.
Have a frantic week coming up so will see how I cope with that. Out every day until Tuesday. Yuck. Hate living so far out of town. It is when I really feel my age adding two hours driving time to every day takes a huge toll.

Well done on your loss PB. What a shame you are not feeling too good.

I know what you mean about being so far out, I find driving long distances takes its toll, so try not to do it too often if I can help it. Luckily I do like being home so it is easy to find reasons to stay.

Well I manged to blow up the washing machine  Angry . I had my last load in it... Angry
My daughters new man has purchased our lifestyle block 15 km down the road and as he is a fisherman and away she told me to go down there and put my washing through his machine. So I did. But travelling 30km to do your washing is a bit much.

I too like to stay home KM. But this week just everything comes at once. I have a cardmaking class that I am going to in Picton tomorrow, then back to Picton to get my eldest from the ferry on Thursday, then just to Blenheim on Friday to deliver her to her sister and they are going to Hanmer for the weekend, then on Saturday I have scrapbooking, Sunday home, Monday I am teaching a craft class. Most of these things come once a month and not usually in the same week.

On the bright side they will all be over and done with for another month Cool

Shame about the washing machine, mine died last year and I ended up having to get a new one. Life is so hard sometimes.

Hi there.  Great loss PB keep it up.  Hope you survive your busy week.
KM very sorry to hear about all your sadness.  |Hopefully its your dose of sadness for the next decade!!!

I am keeping an eye on my washing machine, drier and fridge - fridge is the oldest and we have had it for 21 years but back when we bought it they lasted at least that long. |t no longer auto defrosts and the repair man said i should replace it at least 6 years ago but hey, i have other freezers!!!  Rest of the fridge goes great and you can keep some stuff in it.
Washing machine has had a very hard life.  The drier is 20 years old as well.  None of them owe me anything, but thats not really the point is it.  Oh well, as hubby can always find money for his boys toys, when they go he will just need to find the dollars for each one!!!

Its a beautiful day in Auckland. Left home 5.50 as i thought it was supposd to be wet and its my day trip to penrose - so here by 6.20.  Made my scrambled egg and toast.  Waiting for the other director so we can get started. he is not an early bird and could be here in 2 minutes or 40 - its always a surprise!

Had a good day food wise yesterday.

Take care both of you and stay safe on all your tripping PB.  Did you get caught in the flooding??

Hi Everyone

Good news about the rain Lynda, sounds like you need it.  Hope you get what you want but not too much!!

There is a chill in the air and the wool is out along with the crochet hook.  I've found a cute teddy bear scarf to crochet for GD. So that should keep the hand out of the cookie jar.

I would have started a new topic as I am talking winter under summer colds, but I couldn't work out how to.

Any other projects under way out there?

Hiya, rain on and off.  Just dropped husband home after gastroscopy and water pouring out of the water tank.  Was nearly empty last week.  It is SO exciting to be able to flush the toilet again.  Such a simple little thing.
Off the top of my head...

We too have gone from one extreme to the other on the rain front. Pity the cold weather came with it to stop the grass from going
