Well I decided it is time for a new topic....and lets face it winter has arrived. Might still be a couple of days for it to be official but it is here. We too had some wonderful rain....But we have now got slushy stuff with the snow.... My busy busy week was great glad when it stopped. Didn't even think diet in the end. I was getting home at about 8 and looking for food. So ate whatever I could find that was really quick. But happily back on track now. Just got myself one of those wonderful one touch salad machines. Fanatastic. Love the thing.

Yes PB winter is certainly here. Don't worry about not sticking to plan during your busy week, just get back on the wagon now. I got on the scales for the first time in ages yesterday, and I did not like what I saw at all. Having been only 7kg to goal a year ago, I am now way off that mark. Shame on me So I too am climbing back on the wagon in a serious way and putting up my troll sign Going to take it in very small chunks at a time, weighin will be wednesday morning

Welcome back to the plan KM. I have been good all this week so should be okay for tomorrows weigh in. The one touch salad machine is one of those 'one touch' things you see advertised on tv. I got it at Mitre10 and it is actually called 'One-Touch Deluxe Vegetable Slicer. It is battery operated and makes a wonderful job of slicing and/or dicing. Just pop the veg in the top and presto out the bottom into the large container appears veges all ready to go. I have used it for onions when sliced onions are called for fantastic. But it gets used every lunchtime for my salad, just too simple. Well we have sunshine today and the weather is warming up. We made a high of 8 yesterday after highs of 2 on Thursday, 4 on Friday, 5 on Saturday, so is improving. We take temps for the met service... Just deciding on what icebreaker I want...Mmmm so many choices. We supply them with wool and we get cheap icebreaker clothes. Good deal I think...

Gosh so cold for you already PB. I lit a fire for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago but not since. Mind if I had been home today I think I would have lit it. Its been a gray day here in auckland and I've had my scarf on all day at my desk. I put a skirt on this morning with my boots as it was supposed to be quite nice and was when i walked out the door. Oh well. My husband uses the icebreaker stuff on his motorbike. Its great.
Hows it going KM? Hope all is good

Well ended up with a unexpected trip to Auckland to see some friends so not on plan completely, however these people do eat very healthly so not a total loss. One of the ladies is eating 100% raw these days so for lunch I just had a small salad roll and some taboleh, so other than a shortage of protein not too bad. But no afternoon snack because I was driving home.
Have made the glazed meatloaf for dinner so back on track already.
I seem to be in the right head space to make this work so all is good, and life has settled a little here so hopefully no more stresses to come for a while.
It is cold here right now and I am just waiting for the fire to heat the house after being out all day, it gets dark so quickly that I it was almost dark when I went out to pick the silver beet for dinner. It was certainly cold in Auckland while I was there and probably here as well.

Well a 900g loss this week so all very good here. Just wish it was a wee bit warmer. Dropped back to a high of 5 yesterday and it certainly wont get anywhere near that today. Cold grey day. The fire is going and I will spend the day bunked in with the cat.... . How was the meatloaf KM? I haven't tried that one. Made sausage hotpot last night and that was very nice. Might make a potato pumpkin mash to go on top next time. I have carbs still up my sleeve with that recipe. Also made the Banana Loaf with Caramel Coconut Topping...That is fantastic.. .

Well done PB, all your hard work is paying off well for you We are warmer here today but very wet so interesting day weather wise. The meat loaf was good with lots of flavour so well worth making it again. I can remember the first time I made that banana loaf, I found it fantastic too. With food this good we have to wonder why we ever fall off the wagon

Great work BP on the loss. Must try that banana loaf - must find the recipe. I must have missed that class unless its in a book! I love the glazed meatloaf. I plan on making it this week some time - maybe sat then we can have some cold Sunday. I think the fire will be lit tonight. Haven't done so for a good couple of weeks but if I hadn't been out at KISS lst night would have lit it at 5.00. Keep up the good work. And you are so right - the food is so good, why do we go off track? I think extra planning and "baking" is coming up so that the allowed treats are there. Mind you, despite how it seems i thought i was doing the diet!! obviously not!!!

Oh Lynda we all have days like that. Sometimes it feels like we are making the effort for nothing.
Today so far I AM doing the diet, and it is so good to be back on track, just have to decide what to have tonight since Miss Fussy has swimming so I have to make something in advance.
Better go look through the books now.

What a shame, still overall you are seeing results even if not this week. By tomorrow you will probably be down again. I will weigh in in the morning, but only been on plan so to speak since sunday, so not expecting great things. Gratin Mince baked in a pumpkin with lots of coleslaw tonight, it is well on its way to being made already. Don't you just love crockpots.

Dinner was good. I weighed everything!! Prepared the banana loaf while finishing off sons dinner etc. It was okay but i would have to say i definitely prefer the carrot and date loaf. Husband loved it and had 2 pieces. Even managed to get son to sample it and he said it was "quite nice actually" which is HUGE praise from him!!! Hopefully mum doesn't turn up with heaps of baking today!!! I was very brave and asked her not to a few weeks ago - she stopped totally for one week but then started baking other stuff and stopped the date scones but baked other stuff and said "give it to deanna" (my youngest daughter). She stopped the date scones but then said last week that she had made some and I could have "One" and i said as nice as I could that "Yes I could have ONE" BUT what do I do with the rest of the batch - and I said - the ones not the issue its the others lying around! I have been giving most of her baking away but i just wish she'd stop it!! She is coming to stay friday night and will no doubt bring baking with her!! I just MUST be strong and get rid of it - and i don't mean down my throat. Have a good day - its nice here right now. Its my early early morning - left home at 10 to 6!! I know thats probably not early for you guys but it sure is for me! Think I will hve salmon and crackers for lunch today. Dylan there tonight and have made some macaroni and some cheese sauce as he loves that but its not on my list of favourites. Will go for carb free tonight - leftover chicken from last night i think for me!

Mum did well today - she didn't stay for morning tea so I got away with not having any of her baking!! I kept a couple raisin scones for here and a couple of pieces of slice - neither of which i like at all and gave the rest to youngest daughter. So that was good. Had 12 almonds for lunch and slice vogels with banana on. I wasn't actually hungry but knew I had to have some protein - so decided on nuts for a change. When I was doing my allergy free foods my emergency lunch was 7 brazil nuts and 20 rice crackers!!! I know, sounds crazy, but it worked for me! Also just as crazy sounding is 12 almonds - I regreted eating them later as I enjoy whilst having but 12 is too many. I think its the natural oil in them disagrees with me. When i did the allergy thing almonds was one of the things on my list but I forgot that! Old age is getting to me!
Have a great night.

Good call on the baking Lynda.
I have been out all day with the homeschool group, so had soup and muffin for lunch, but no snacks at all. I have a bacon and egg pie in the oven right now and more coleslaw to use the rest of the large bowl full I made yesterday.
Wednesday is the day I allow myself to have some chocolate. It has worked well for me to have one day a week that I am allowed to have some.It means that I am not tempted the rest of the week even when offered several times. So I look forward to being able to have some tonight, and then I am happy to have no more for another week.
Oh and a loss of 1.1kg in case you didn't notice my ticker had moved.
