Hi Yvonne,

I wrote a whole post and then lost my connection just as I was posting it Angry

I can so relate to the boredom of recovery. At least you can walk small amounts so that will help.

Maybe time to take up a new hobby. Online shopping -  I found a place that I could order wool locally and they sent it out to me. Knitting filled in some of my time, and at the end I had something to wear.

Puzzles I have heaps here that I am happy to sent to you if you are interested.

Blog surfing can fill in a lot of time on nothing here is mine if you want to fill in five minutes.

http://www.dreamforthree.co.nz/ We have lambs and a calf coming so I could well be writing about that soon.

I will come on here more often and try to amuse you if you like.

Hi kiwismum,

Thanks for thinking of me, I do appreciate it.  I am on my fifth book so reading and TV is top priority.  And computer games.. trouble is I get bored with them cause I am not the best at them Smile  No patience Smile

Now online shopping,  mmm, could really go for that..but havent any spare money...have been deleting any newsletters from bookshops as they come in. Resisting temptation Sad   I haven't knitted for decades, think I gave it up when the kids started school.  My sewing machine has seized up from lack of use.  Embarrassed  I did consider buying some charcoal and a sketch pad and drawing some of the dogs Smile

Its surprising what we do on a daily basis that involves some sort of physical effort.  Changing sheets for example.  Just washed some dog beds..but not allowed to hang them out!  Did weigh myself this morning and thankfully despite sitting and eating a tad too much (okay a lot too much) the weight hasnt changed..yet Smile

Puzzles?  that sounds interesting ..would appreciate some if you would like to send them my way..I have done a few jigsaw puzzles on the computer..I think my email address is on the members file if not can send it to you.

Oh well time for a coffee and a magazine sent by a friend this morning..a weight watchers one so there may be some tempting recipes in it..

How many lambs are you expecting?  We have some rather cute ones not far from here, Pit Island lambs I am told, dark brown and white piebald looking ...

Thanks again for your message..I can so relate to the typing of a message and having it disappear top heaven knows where Smile

Yeah knitting is not my favourite thing either, but after sitting for a month or so it did fill the void.

Your drawing sounds like a good idea, I can't draw to save myself but go for it I say.

You certainly sound like you are alot more active than what I was allowed to be, so that is all good.

Will email you about getting your snail mail address for the puzzles.

Hubby rang a little while ago and said that funniest thing he has ever seen is a paddock full of little blue calves. Someone has put covers on a whole paddock full of them. It is normal to see one or two with covers, but this was a whole paddock full.

Oh darn, uncovered! Laugh
Nope your email address like mine is 'hidden' so went through to your webiste and left a message..if that doesnt work will just give it to you here...not sure why I hid my email address....

Yes five minute walks a day..needless to say I am doing every minute!  Basically its just the no lifting stretching etc..and surgeon did say no walking marathons (ha ha..he doesnt know me well...walkings just for pleasure)
Aha!  when you said puzzles I was thinking online puzzles Embarrassed

Little blue calves..now that does sound cute.  Nice to think they have some protection against the very chilly wind thats blowing about at present.  Must give them a better survival rate...

No worries I don't need to get rid of them, I just thought if you were interested.

Your message came through so it is all good. I have no less than 3 email addresses so any one of them will work. The blog one is the one I use the least, but I have often thought that I should now make that my main one, just seems like too much trouble.

Perhaps you should get an iphone, they have lots of games that you can just download sometimes for free. I got one recently and have some cute little farms and a store running. I have to attend to them everyday, which can get a bit tricky but the challenge is to just keep them going. They do not take any skill just a bit of time.

Thanks KM.

Looked at the calendar before not even three weeks are up of this (what seems like) a prison sentence!!!  Have done the dishes, walked to the mail box and started the washing machine and thats about it til time to feed the dogs and do another lot of dishes.  Thank goodness for books and the computer.   Have been sticking to simple to prepare meals this week (glazed meat loaf, sweet chilli sausages, kumera and chicken stir fry, chicken pasta dish, all KK Hungry) so tonight when I do the ham and corn quiche will make some of those cheesy marmite scrolls to go with them..that will use up some time Smile

My old frail 16 year old Sara loved her helping of the kumera and chicken stir fry last night..only thing I could tempt her to eat...she really enjoyed the glazed meatloaf and turned her nose up at the chicken and pasta..I only resort to people food when all else fails and at her age as long as I can get some food into her thats all that matters.  She has heart problems and I doubt she will make 17 years. Sad

Iphone games sound like fun..wonder if I could find the same on the computer...

Oh well time for coffee, a kiwifruit and some more of my book...hope everyone else is having an enjoyable, 'I feel useful'  day Smile

hI THERE SPIES!!! Cool
As I said Facebook has some cool games. Yeh you have to join but its virtually all I use it for and of course seeing the kids pics that seem to end up there!
You could join me as a friend and we could challenge each other!
Weighed this morning and its looking better than my last weigh!!!  Shall keep it up, oops down!
I should send my son to you - he has a couple of new "electronic" Monopoly games!!! They are quite fun and you can put time limits on them but one has a debit card instead of cash and the other one is, um, can't remember now - but both were fun, but i have a limit of how much I can stand at any one time!
take care and don't play 007 too much to the letter

Oh Lynda you mean we have to put the trench coats and dark glasses away?   Cool Is that what 'spooks' dress in these days? Laugh

Thats good news..your weigh in result..hope Monday night is a good one as well.

Yes I have heard how Monopoly games are so different to the games of old...now if my husband and daughter didnt work we could play Trivial Pursuit, Monoply, Scrabble...if I could drag them away from the computer Smile

Have had different emails re Facebook but always deleted them.. Embarrassed.perhaps I should have a better look next time.  Have a feeling we are going to be in for a wet weekend, been raining here the past couple of hours..

Have a good weekend everyone. Smile

 Detective  Ninja or  Monkey
Face book Hmm never really got into it, deactivated my account recently but could easily start it up again if need be.

Well done on the weight loss Lynda

Yvonne I am pretty sure that the puzzles are now on there way to you since I got a text saying nothing more than "sent"

Took little miss fussy one of her homeschool groups today and she packed a sad on me, so I was not a happy camper.

Glass half full, three weeks have passed so recovery is that much closer

Must admit I am a complete novice when it comes to things like Facebook...I do go onto a Twitter page now and again to check out a musician I like otherwise....

Children do challenge us at times no matter what there ages Smile  Mine (adult) is on her second cold of the winter, she works at the local school so hopefully will start building up an immunity to all the colds and flus that seem to go around schools...

Looking forward to the puzzles, thank you, havent done one for years so will be good to do something different for a change.  Recieved two packets of seeds in the mail today so will sprinkle them around the bare patches of garden hopefully will make up for not being able to dig it all over properly ...its only for one summer so...

Grey and chilly Saturday here..good day to stay  inside  Smile

Now twitter, I have never even been on the sight, so no help here.

Just came back from my pincushion club, we meet once a month and each time we make a different pin cushion. Today we made one called an Abby bag. It has a weighted pin cushion to sit on the table, and suspended under it is a bag for threads and such like. I have been wanting one for ages, so it is good that I now have one.
