HOOT, Yvonne. I would like to class myself as "maintenance" and have been pretending for years.......  Laugh  Ain't true!!!

I do have to say that when I was an online member 2 years ago, I looked at and read posts on the forum but felt like I wasn't part of the "club"..........that was my state of mind at the time, but I want to say to anyone who maybe feels like I did, that it isn't like that at all.  I quit then......and went back to a kilo under where I began........this old dog is learning new tricks and I find visiting and chatting here to be a great boost.

I have always found the "maintenance" part to be the hardest so this time I am listening to everyone!

Come on down!
  Yes
Love

Nan.

Well let me see I maintained my weight that I was when I lost it and then I added to it Laugh Laugh Laugh Laugh

Nan now you know that we are not really that scary, but your right it is a state of mind, which is why we shouldn't think of it as a diet but a lifestyle plan.

I too have had that problem of reading posts Nan but not wanting to say anything cause, after all what did I have to say? and as you say you dont 'feel part of the club' ..arent we an insecure lot Smile

Sometimes sharing problems etc can help lose or just stay the same..a little encouragement is what we most need at times..something we may not get from close family members Smile

I know when I had a spell of 'doing nothing' last year due to a day or two in hospital KM was wonderful, she went to the trouble to send me some great books to read and a few jigsaws to try my hand at (I failed miserably at the puzzles but loved the books)...so encouragement and kindness from strangers can mean a lot at times.

So agree its a state of mind KM, I think you get to that point when you realise noone can lose your weight for you and if you want to do it..then you just have to...sometimes you have to be really bloody minded about it!
