Hey Guys! I did keep popping in but no one had posted so I went away again. Not so good here...while out walking I got chomped by two very large dogs with BIG teeth 11 days ago and still not healed properly and back on some industrial strength antibiotics. Visits to doc and med centre have just seemingly become my life and I am trying to recover my own strength to get on with life as it used to be. So, having sat on my poor sore self (doctor's orders) these past days and no walking, I am getting fatter and fatter instead of thinner and thinner so thought I would just take a deep breath and weigh in tomorrow morning and get back to being me as soon as I can. Amazing how this sort of thing can change the way we think.......my confidence is all but gone. I couldn't sit at the computer as I was so sore but I seem to have better dressings on the 2 bites now and I must eventually mend!!! Good to see you two back. Sun is shining here today. Cheers! N.

Oh no Nan How awful for you. Now is the time to turn to us for your inspiration and to keep your spirits up. It is hard when you can't move. I know from personal experience that if you are unable to even walk around then you it is hard to eat little enough not to put on weight. Now get yourself a couple of weights and work that upper body. If I can do exercises with a huge cast and non weight bearing instructions then then you can wave a couple of baked bean cans around Seriously though, I do hope that things turn around for you soon, you have had such a hard time this year. Have a hug from me

Thanks KM. I will get the baked bean tins down! Still sore...had new dressings this morning and have 2 deep puncture wounds that are still suspect....but today the nurse said I am actually healing very well, so I feel a little more positive........I had thought I should have healed by now...DUH! Just weighed in (big gain) but am feeling positive though I would just like to "eat the pain" away.........sha'n't!!! Have a great weekden and thank you for your kind message. Nan.

Good news about the healing Nan not so great about the gain, but once you are up and about it will hopefully come off easily.
Have to start planning what is left of the christmas shopping so not really looking forward to that this year. We are feeling the pinch a bit this year.
I did remember to actually weigh in two weeks in a row, no change but at least not a gain.

Hey guys...sun is shining here. How goes it? Feeling oh so much better and more positive and am doing the damn diet and the weight is coming off. Going to go outside and look at the garden and watch the DH re-roping the small cat's scratching post....she can't live without it and has shredded the top of the rope that he put on it. , N.

Well it turns out that I have the whole week to get my stuff done. I have some christmas sewing to finish up, and Mr Fussy has sent out more christmas cards this year so I have to make almost 20 more.
After that I will be busy getting this other stuff up to date so there won't be much time for anything else. Still I have made someone very happy by saying that I will do it for them.
Did a sneaky peak at the scales this morning as weekends are always my down fall(and this weekend was no different). I started the week down by 1kg from last monday, but up from weighday. We will see what Wednesday brings.

This is true Nan.
I thought I had a bit more time but alas no.
My cousin had someone doing the accounts for her business and she suddenly quit last week. I said I would take it on for her, and then we have discovered that they haven't been updated since April. We have to get the October GST done so there is some urgency to get them up to date.
All the stuff arrived last night so that is what I will have to do.
Thought I might have had a few more days to get my stuff done, but I will just have to squeeze it in around the accounts.
Took Miss Fussy to athletics last night and did my 100 squats while I measured the long jump. I won't be able to move by tonight so might as well work on the accounts.

100 squats and now having to sit and do accounts. That is what I call multitasking and lateral thinking KM! I wonder what on earth the previous accounts person was doing? Gosh!
There is always something that messes up our plans...now that I am nearly all well, I had planned to do a big spring clean with DH's help but he has come down with a bad cold so he gets the day off! I will putter.
Hope you can sort out the mess...been there done that and it is fine if there is time to do it in!

Hi Ladies, just checked in...Nan, how frightening for you! I cannot imagine how scary it would have been to be bitten by a couple of dogs, I have handled many a dog fight and know how scary the noise alone can be...I do hope the owners have to keep these uruly beasts under control!...or was the punishment more drastic...
From what I have read you seem to be getting better and gaining strength, thank goodness! Do hope by the time you read this you are feeling better and perhaps getting the confidence back for a little walk...
100 squats KM...wow..very impressive! I have spent hours in the garden otherwise...
Hope all is well with you both, off to read the new recipe...

Yes, Yvonne, much better thank you....poor old DH has a bad cold now, so he deserves a few days off...he has been mighty. Still going to med centre 3 days a week but only one wound is not healed now. I am washing winter woolies etc today so at last I can accomplish something.
One dog in custody...other one was "disappeared"....it was a full-on vicious attack so their days are numbered. I am sad as I love dogs, but these can't be allowed to do this again. EVER.
I am still so wary and scared which I know will pass, but it really is one day at a time for me now. I miss walking!
So far it has cost me nigh on $100 for medical care.........ACC! DUH!
Cheers.
Nan.
