In Michelles Quest we went through a stage of saying what we were planning for dinner. I found this quite helpful for ideas and just to get a bit of insight into what other people are doing maybe different to me or maybe not. So tonight Simon, I am going to be... making Chicken and Leek Pie. It's a variation on last weeks recipe because hubby won't eat salmon - calls it cat food so you can imagine how much I look forward to eating it now Yuck  Laugh
Would love to hear what everyone else is having.

Happy KISSing  Kiss Kiss

Hi Yvonne - I made the MASD pea and ham soup at the weekend - all gone now  Cry Curried sausages is a good idea. That's what I like about this diet - the rest of the family don't feel like they've been put on a diet too.

Chef Wow, I am impressed.
Hi Yvonne, so lovely to see you back on the boards. How's the Waikato?

I think Confused I will just have lamb chops, trying to keep it simple. With that mint and yoghurt sauce, if I can remember which book it is in. So nice with lamb and potatoes. And then just pumpkin, cabbage and maybe beans.

Yes, I agree, any foods the family can eat too are a big bonus!  I did try the pea and ham soup last year but cant remember how it turned out..sure it was fine.  Tried the sultana tea loaf a couple of times but mine is always dry Angry

Hows the Waikato?  well, today is another lovely day, blue sky and sunshine but a chilly wind..just hope we are not going to have a dry as winter as we had summer...

Back to work, Yvonne

We're having haystacks - corn chips, beans, and loads of salad stuff. Love it!

I suspect there is no corn chip allowance. I just have a small amount and loads of salad, as opposed to my whanau who have a regular serve of corn chips and the right size salad for them.

That does sound nice KG - it'll be good getting some inspired vegetarian options from you. My chicken and leek pie was more of a variation than I thought - why did I think the recipe had potato   ??? There's enough left over for lunch tomorrow which has to be an improvement on todays baked beans on toast  Thumbs Down At this stage it's vegetarian canelloni for dinner tomorrow - it's one of my favourite KK recipes - an oldie but a goodie and in The Kiwi Kiss Diet cookbook if anyone is interested.

Was just checking in here, 'coz I remembered someone saying they were having curried sausages the other night and needed to see what book they were in. So that's what were having. Cornbeef tomorrow night and last night was Southern Fried Chicken...........that's our households equivalent of take aways. I was late home and it's really quick to do, and so yummy. Better than KFC..........if you like KFC that is!

Big Eyes Well couldn't find any curried sausages in the MASD book, so had the sweet chillie ones out of the KK in the Kitchen book...........Yummo, had to laugh at Carolyn, she says go easy on the sweet chillie sauce, you don't want to blow heads off (or something like that) and it only has two teaspoons in it. I used two tablespoons. Maybe I use a mild sweet chillie sauce. Always buy the Trident one in the squeezable bottle. My fav Love Love Love Could be another subject; what brand of stuff do you buy? Some are definitely better than others, and when it comes to DIs or WIs I don't skimp on pennies. I figure I have less of it now so I may as well enjoy it to the max!!!!!!!!!

MD there's a curried sausage recipe in "The Kiwi Kiss Diet" cook book (I think this was the first one). After cooking 250 sausages on the barbie and buttering bread to go with, I'm a bit sausaged out so I think we will just have soup tonight. I'm a bit of a cheat and use the Kings veges soup mix but it's tastes really good, is low fat etc and hubby will eat it. Haven't thought about the rest of the week yet. I use the squeezable Trident chilli sauce too. I think a brand topic is a great idea. I'll be waiting for you to start it  Big Smile

Help! What's for dinner tonight? I am totally uninspired. I want to go OUT!

Speaking of going out, we went out for dinner on Saturday night to a Japanese restaurant. It was one of those affairs where someone orders and then food keeps being brought to the table. I have no idea how much I ate (I know it wasn't too much cos I was still hungry when I got home!) but it reminded me of those posh restaurants you go to where your wine glass is constantly refilled, you have no idea how much you drank, until horror of horrors, you fall down the steps on the way out, quite sure that you've only had a glass or two.

Haha Haha Yeah right KG, that's your story and you're sticking to it!.......................just winding you up. Kiss
I have no inspiration for dinner either, am trying to empty out fridge, and it is looking pretty pathetic. Thought I had it all sorted, them had extras to feed, and now "poof" there's not much to choose from...................so where shall we go?  Wink

Thank you Yvonne, I found it now. That looks a really good straight forward recipe. Not too much faffing around. I will definitely give that one a go next time I have sausies.............If I can remember where it is. Pg 98 MASD.....Pg 98 MASD.....PG 98 MASD.  Haha
