Rip I see the old forum has gone Sad, May she rest in peace. Many memorable moments have been had, and many wonderful people have been met. Many kilos shed No, and many kilos shared.  Doh I say we take a toast to "the old board" and all that sailed in her Wink Party Drunk
And I never did get around to taking those photos off. I hope they are gone for good, not stored somewhere to come back and haunt me???

There's another advert that uses Scotland - the one where the family comes from Scotland and the bank is trying to set all their accounts up and can't understand their accent - the wee boy has bright red hair and is called wee Hamish. Scottish must be the new cool thing that will sucker people into buying anything  Laugh

SD
Coffee <<< me sitting at my desk having coffee right now. Must remember to bring in Hilli's great mug so I can think about you all even when I'm not on the board.

How to get moving text -

1. There are a lot of buttons above the white box where you type in your post. Click on the 7th one in the top row - it has a moving M and arrows on it and is called Marquee. This puts some formatting instruction into your text like this:  {move}{/move}
The brackets round the words will be square [] rather than curly {} - I had to make them different here so the system wouldn't use them as a formatting instruction

2. Type your text in between the 2 instructions like this {move}Hi everyone{/move}.

3. Use the preview button and you will see your post at the top of the page and hopefully bits of it will be moving!

4. You can also use other buttons for different effects - I also used the 5th button on the top row  (letter G with a green background, called Glow) to get the red background effect. That instruction looks like this {glow=red,2,300}{/glow}

5. If you are using multiple formatting instructions your text has to be in the middle of them with all the start format instructions before the text and all the end format instructions (the ones with / in them) at the end. I found the easiest way to do this was to click all the format buttons I wanted then type the text in the middle - got in a bit of a mess trying to apply the formatting later.
{move}{glow=red,2,300}Hi Everyone{/glow}{/move} - is moving and glowing!

6. Instructions can contain colours e.g. {glow=red,2,300} I just overtyped red with a different colour - I used orange for my text below.

Good Luck!!

Size: Use the 13th button on the top row - the letter A with an arrow. It gives you this formatting instruction {size=10pt}Hi Everyone{/size}

Change size=10pt to any size you want.

Font: Use the 14th button on the top row - the red letter A. It gives you this formatting instruction {font=Verdana}Hi Everyone{/font}

Change font=Verdana to the name of a font you know from using Word or whatever.

This text is 30pt and Brush Script MTfont

5th button along = Glow. Don't know what the numbers mean but I changed the 2 to 20 to get a bigger shadow. Though the 7th button along says shadow on it but it didn't do anything when I tried it.

Technotard - I like it !!!!
