I dry-roast almonds (no oil or salt) & keep them in a sealed container in the cupboard.
Useful as an addition to protein (eg: 50gm cottage cheese & 12 almonds makes 1 protein, if I'm correct)
Also use as a daily indulgence, good if you arrive home starving, or scatter on top of salad,
or add to yoghurt & dates for a yummy kissable dessert.
Worth a try, KG, and all you busy Mums!

I love almonds. I eat them raw. If I took the time to dry roast them, they'd be all gobbled up BEFORE they got in the container.  Smile

My quickie........tomatoes and cous cous. 1 tin tomatoes (I like the pesto ones.........please don't tell me these ones are no good!!!!) put in pot, rinse the tin and add that water (how much water depends on how thick you like it). Bring to boil, add 2 servings of cous cous. Take off heat and let it stand for five minutes to cook the cous cous. Top with 50gms cheese (1 protein) done!

Yum!  Tongue I could use 'instant polenta' here, as cous-cous is a bit hard to find.
Nice with a couple of lamb chops too, eh?

That sounds great MC. I was thinking you could use mexican tomatoes with kidney beans, or morroccan tomatoes with chicken, I think you've just opened up a whole new world of quick meals to make at work  Laugh Thanks...
