Hope the move goes without stress Lynda.  The neighbours sounded a really thoughtless lot.   The only good thing about moving for me is to have a good clean out..we do tend to hoard things Smile   I do hope the change of season helps Dylan shake off the last of the winter bug, poor little guy...I notice my little granddaughters who go to creche seem to get more colds than their father did..must be hard when you are with other little ones that have colds etc..suppose the germs keep going round and round Smile

And, drat it, its now raining here!  Depending how hard it gets will still go for a walk..wanted to walk Jack to air dry the last of his coat.  Yes he would be well suited to your climate Pamela.. their coats are good for both hot and cold weather....only spent an hour on him, earlier this week thought I had pulled a muscle in the lower rib / back area (if you have such things there) as the ribs where tender to touch and quite sore..didnt realise how sore til I lifted Jack up and into the bath..standing in one spot drying him just wasnt an option after an hour...

TV One has had Mowtown (spelling?) music on all morning so that was quite pleasant to listen too...rain seems to have stopped so must go now and hope it stays away...

Welcome & Benvenuti to Pamela. And a huge 'Complimenti!' for that incredible weight loss!
I went off the rails a tad when I was in the UK, but am back on track again.
It's good to be home again, we are still having warm temps and haven't had the fire lit for about 3 weeks now. Autumn coppers & reds on the hillsides, but not a breath of wind and the early snow on the mountains has all melted.
So fingers crossed for this week's efforts and a good weigh-in on Monday. Good luck everybody!

Hi all, thank you for the welcome Annamaria. We still have snow around the tops here and we are supposed to be well into spring  Wink .
Been a good week for me so far. Went out for lunch and was very good and just had a very uninteresting ham sandwich to eat. They all laughed at me because it was a case of hunt the ham in it. Went to a place that we used to go to regularly but has changed hands and we wont be bothering with again  No Way . I didn't get home until 7.30 and was famished but I made that pasta dish with the ham and mascapone. Used light cream cheese instead. Was fantastic and will make it again so quick and easy. Liked the idea of using salmon that you suggested Lynda. Must go and look at my books and see what I fancy for tonight.

Well made Baked Spaghetti Bolognaise from the All Seasons Cookbook for last nights meal and it was very nice. I have enough left over for tonight as well so no complaints from me. I will admit to adding some sugar (well splenda actually) to the sauce. So it gets a tick in the book to be made again.
Horrible weather here, pouring rain all day yesterday and a howling southerly today with fresh snow. Typical long weekend. Hubby was making noises about tailing the first lot of lambs  Angry , my favourite job (NOT). I am hoping that the hunter that is up will do it. He's a sweetie and would love to help on the farm.
Still feeling great even if last night I wanted CHOCOLATE! Went to bed and couldn't sleep thinking about it. Wish Carolyn would come up with a chocolate cake recipe.
Hope everyone else is doing well over the long weekend and that temptation is not too great for you all.

Weathers pretty poor here too Pamela.  Sun one minute (with a chilly wind) then its raining then its fine next we have thunder and lightening..would much rather it be one thing or the other!   And tempatation has won this weekend...just had two chocolate chip cookies plus two crackers and cheese and we wont even think about the toasted cheese sandwich for lunch and.....tomorrows another day.

One bright spot of my weekend so far was to listen and watch Andre Rieus concert in Vienna, on a Sky channel, just over two hours long and so worth watching.  Cant settle to a book so now going to play computer games...

Sometimes the chocolate Jarrah drink helps with that chocolate craving...

Hope others are having an enjoyable weekend...

Mmm! My 'cioccolata' sympathies, Pamela. If I get a craving, I allow myself 2 or 3 squares of dark Italian chocolate at night with a cup of hot milk. That seems to do the trick. But I don't buy the Nutella spread they all use for breakfast anymore, although Husband loves the Stracciatella flavoured ice-cream & yoghurt ( with chunks of dark chocolate in); difficult when it's sitting in the fridge!
English Friend-who-fell-out-of-olive-tree&broke-8-ribs is back home now, and his wife has invited us around for a Sunday pork roast lunch today....with English rice pudding dessert!....and it's my Weigh In day tomorrow morning!
Aaargh!! God help me!

Sleep well, Ni-ni!

I think indulging the craving just a little prevents an all out war on the offending morsels..sometimes..I love chocolate..used to be no problem to demolish a box or cake all by myself..specially dark chocolate...how do you resist that ice cream!  sounds lovely!    Its bad enough having the one we have at present..has balls of hokey pokey covered in chocolate mixed through it...
Enjoy your lunch sounds a lovely treat.. I am sure small portions will get you through your weigh in... Smile
Bedtime here too....

Hello there.  Back to reality.
We must have been lucky, our weather was pretty good - didn't rain while shifting the daughter - we managed to miss it which was great and my mum and i got most of it sorted. Kids today, where did we go wrong!!!  Dylan isn't too sure of his new house.  he went and stayed at his dads and apparently is wandering around a little lost - his bedroom looks great though.

Food wise - well I've been having a bit of a lolly binge and not eating properly the last week.  I think the exercise on friday and saturday were good for me but back ont rack now.  Spag bolognaise for lunch today.
Mum has had baking at my house again - she baked for the move - homemade sausage rolls, coconut slice, cheesecakes, bacon and egg pie,  cold chicken and pickled pork.  Enough to feed army.  Gave away last of coconut slice after she left sunday and this morning, gave away rest of cheesecakes and half the sausage rolls - good start. Has turned up home today with. chocolate chips!!!!  Not sure what sheis cooking for my dinner tonight

Catchya later
