Logging on.

Help! Every time I try to log on, my email address comes up instead of my user name. What's happened?
Also my avatar has disappeared, and I cannot re-apply it.
I have tried to adjust things but these are not saved, and I'm back to the same problem next time I log on.

I assume you're talking about logging into the forums and not the WeighInOnline member-only website?

As you know the forums are separate from the WeighInOnline member-only service and you have a separate username and password for each.

If your email address comes up automatically then this is probably caused by your browser automatically putting your email address in for you.

I suggest that when you log in you select the "Forever" option next to where you type your username and password.  This will keep you logged in when you leave the forums, which means you shouldn't need to log in again (unless you clear the cookies in your browser).

Dear Admin, I have done as you asked, and apparently the cookies are not an issue.
I also am unable to modify my profile and re-attach my avatar.
Can you help me with this?

I've fixed the problem with the avatars not working.

Anyone that has lost their avatar can now upload it again and it should appear.
