Yippee I am so pleased that I am not the only one who is not fussed with filo. I will try the recipe without it as I always feel cheated when I have it. I would rather have a filling carb.
Thank you for the info.

Well I'm not fussed on pastry really it always just seems like empty calories, a bit like bread really.

PB I have my corned beef in the crock pot today, it really is the best way to cook it, and over winter I do a lot of casseroles and pot roasts in it. All these things work on this plan cos I used them last winter when I was actually losing weight.

Hi Pamela
Chicken casserole - my favourite is actually classed as a stir fry but Carolyn said she normally did it as casserole at home.  Its the Chicken Balsamic and Peach one.  It is delicious - smells delicious, tastes it. I use it all the time as a rule and make enough and freeze for lunch to have with rice or pasta.  It is superb and I make it often if we have friends over, take it to their places.  You must try it.  I think its probably in the archive recipes here and all those words are in the title but not sure of the order.

Oh KM I cooked corn beef in the crock pot the other day and put gingerale in. I used to always do t like that. So yum.
Must away. Catch you tomorrow

Thanks will go investigate the chicken recipe. I don't like corned beef much so that won't be on my list I am afraid. I just find it too salty for my tastes now. Used to love it. Funny how our tastes change. Mmm Pot roast is another story. Must think about this when I am in the supermarket next.

Good morning ladies
Was good all night last night which is great.  So all in all yesterday was a 100% KISS day.

Sleepy now as up since 5.20 and was up sick during the night - just briefly. But crawled back into bed and forgot about it till I was in the shower.

Have a good day.

Laugh Oh, its not funny. Was talking to mUm on ph before and asked if she had spare eggs and she said she would bring some and she dropped a dozen as she was talking to me.  I am so mean Cry  Haha.  We both laughed.  Now I have less eggs

I have done corned beef in the crock pot with gingerale as well and it is good like that.

Now this is my new sign for myself Troll Troll Troll. Thats right I got on the scales this morning and it was not a pretty sight Horrified So I have reset my ticker and am starting yet again NO EXCUSES.

Hubby wants steak tonight, so that is all good, I have some little eye fillet steaks that will work well for me, will weigh one out but they should be only about 100gms. Had a poached egg on toast for breakfast, and fruit or soup for my snacks. That only leaves lunch to think about now.

Today will be a no cookie day!!!

PB I like your flowers you are doing really well. When I watched the weather this morning I took note of the temps down your way, and I can see why you have your fire going.

Hi KM - hows the  Troll thing working out for you???

I am going good again today.  Feel like I hve a bit of indigestion - well not really but a little like that.  It often happens if I have a cup of tea not long after lunch.  Must remember that before I have the tea!!

Had a power cut here which realy upset the computers and not everything is running properly.  Server needs rebooting and boss does that after work as it takes a while to run again.

Have Dylan tonight so shall head off shortly and get my lil darling.  He's talking so much more each day and is such a character - of course I'm not biased!!

Have a good night. Scnitzel or chicken for dinner tonight - have prepared both as daughter and friend coming for dinner and is friends favourite and she's been having a bit of hard time of late, so convinced her to come and she hasn't seen Dylan for ages.

Have a great night Yes

Well last night I made the poached pear in mulled wine, and I have to say that it was a lot nicer than I was expecting. I don't normally like things cooked in wine and I did hesitate to open a bottle especially to make this recipe, but in the end it was worth it. If you haven't tried it then consider this a recommendation.

I stayed on track all day yesterday and resisted the cookies all day. Yay Pleased

Today is a new day and Miss Fussy is making waffles for breakfast, I have opted not to have any so will have fruit and oats instead so will be off to a good start. Have lunch already made at it is the same as yesterday, tonight hubby will be late so I don't need to cook for him. I have one piece of left over steak or else I have left over corned beef so that should not be too hard.

I hope you are all doing well and will check in soon or else I am just talking to myself.

Weigh in today  Yes and I have done it again another loss. Yippee. 900 down this week so I must be doing something right.
KM good for you for starting again and for the  Troll . Glad you are managing to stick with it. I have to admit that I have been having my veggie soup and my open sandwiches for my lunches and keeping my evening meals fairly simple too when I can. Seems to make things easier for me. I made the Jamaican loaf and made it in muffin tins and get two for a serving and don't feel the need to butter them. I used ginger instead of the mixed spice and added 2 tsp. I like to try different things.
Power went off at lunch yesterday so had luke warm soup with my sammy. Must have been something major as it didn't come back on until 8pm and let me tell you I was famished. Will find out in the papers no doubt on Friday when we get them with the mail.
Had another frost last night and it is jolly cold sitting here on the computer. Book club today so wont bother to get the fire going until I get home. Iceland is the topic today. That was a challenge let me tell you but found a book and enjoyed it even.
Will have my salmon and salad sammy bfore I head off to town so I am not tempted with anything else that is not good for me. Will take two muffins and just have a cuppa at books and not eat until I get to the car. I DON'T need cake and choccy biscuits  No Way

Wow PB you are doing so well, you must be stoked. You get to be Queen for the day King

Planning seems to be a big part of weight loss, that and having to confess your sins. It really makes me think twice before I stray.

You sound like you have it all under control so that is really good. Keep up the good work.

NO, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.... Smile NOR TALKING TO YOURSELF NEEDLESSLY OR ENDLESSLY

KM ? great you bein gon plan all day ? keep it up.  I have been on plan for 2 and half days, well actually if I count Monday it?s 3 ? - scales show it too!!!!

We ? husband and I  - love the pears in mulled wine!  I don?t cook them whole but do them in quarters.  they are yum.  Husband often has a glass of red wine for dinner so always some around.

YEH PAMELA ? Queen QUEEN FOR THE DAY - GREAT LOSS  900 ? KEEP IT UP, OR/AND OFF!!!!

Yes ? planning is the key to weight loss ? planning with having the right snacks and what you are going to have for the week.  I sort of keep that in my plans.  Writing it down daily makes a huge difference as sometimes you?ve had more than you think and others you can see that you actually CAN have more with what you?ve had for the day!

Had a lovely dinner with visitors last night though it was a wee bit, um difficult at times. It?s a little complicated but I mentioned once before that discovered a friend is an alcoholic and she has been to Bridge and had some real ups and downs.  She was at home Tuesday night as the lady she is staying with was going out and was concerned at leaving her home alone, not because of the alcohol but because she has another major health issue alcohol related undoubtedly but is losing so much blood she was scared she?d collapse.
Anyway she upset her daughters a couple of weeks ago and they won?t talk to her.  One of the daughters is my daughters best friend and they came to dinner last night so she could see Dylan.  Well my friend rang and I was bathing Dylan and husband who?s calling her psycho now (its an affectionate term ? she loves it) said ?oh no, psycho mum and her dog are on the phone ? did you ring to speak to psycho daughter?   Yikes Well daughter wouldn?t talk to her and husband went back and said ?she doesn?t want to talk to you? ? not knowing that things weren?t right  and oh, it  all got very complicated!!!  I haven?t heard from either of them today so that will be my task when I get home!!!  However did talk to both of them last night!!!  They were supposed to be meeting today.

I love them both dearly and can see both points of view ? am I sitting on the fence? However, tried to talk daughter into talking to her mum as she is devastated that she won?t talk and I feel its affecting her state of mind right now.  Didn?t say that though!!!
I did tell her that if she didn?t talk to her, that wouldn?t affect ?us? as I know whats been going on, but just wanted her to remember that her mum isn?t really herself!!!

Well husband had to rush to Akl hospital today to get a dying clients will signed.  Oh so sad. Such a darling man.  (both the client and the husband- well usually)

Having my fettucini and salmon tonight.

Oh my goodness Lynda, what a rough time you are having.

Sometimes we need to just count our blessings.

It is good that you have managed to stay on track through it all, these are often the times we let things slip. You deserve a crown as well  Queen

I have been on track all day so that is the second day in a row, all good.

Stay strong ladies.

Oh Lynda how difficult for you. Hope they managed to talk. But it does make you appreciate your own life doesn't it.
Now I have a feeling that you have had a weigh in..... How did it go.  Confused
Watched the vid from class and had a good laugh. I will be happy with 100g when the loss starts to slow down which it must.
The food looked interesting did you get to try it.
Congrats to you both for sticking to KISS for the last couple of days. You sound as if your meals are much more interesting than mine. I have found simplicity is the key for me. Although tonight I am having the fettucine with bacon (no ham) and extra light cream cheese (no mascapone). I looked at the kjs in mascapone and at the ones in my extra light cream cheese which is 70% cottage cheese and decided to stick to my extra light. 1400kj per 100g for mascapone and 525kj for my extra light. I am determined to try and crack this first 5kg. Then I can look to the next one.
I am taking baby steps as goals too daunting to look at the big goal.
Cold and gloomy here today so will get the fire going shortly. No point in being cold.
Hope you are both being good and sticking with it.... Yes
Well off for a cuppa  Coffee
By the way you will be proud of me I took my jamaican loaf muffins with me in the car and just had a cuppa at books and didn't eat the cake and bisc on offer  No No it was all lovely home made stuff too.
