Yes PB we are proud of you, keep up the good work.
I forgot to have my late afternoon soup yesterday so come dinner time I was starving, but I still managed to stay on track with my portion of steak and I cooked up a big pile of onions and a big pile of cabbage and spinach on the side. My evening snack was not so good, two small spoonfuls of homemade strawberry ice cream. Could of been worse and I still had no cookies so I am happy with myself for that at least.
I made scrambled eggs with chopped up bacon for breakfast and had a pear with it rather than toast. I was going to make Souffle for lunch but miss fussy wanted a pie so I am already wondering what I will have. Tonight is f&c night but I am thinking of making some little kumara patties since they will feel like more of a treat than a few chips. Add to that a fresh salsa and I should be happy.
The weather here is much improved, but I seem to have the sewing bug and have two quilts on the go that I want to get finished before the real cold gets here, so I will sitting in front of the sewing machine for most of the day.

Hey KM your icecream can fall into your weekly allowances. So don't be hard on yourself. The sun came out here before I got the fire going so I did heaps and heaps of washing. Hopefully most of it will get dry. Hubby in town for the day so I am home doing my own thing. Been cardmaking flat out over the last few days so am making the most of inspiration while it is there.

Hey Pamela very proud of you at the book club passing up home baked cookies. Bet your Jamacian loaf tasted better.
My weigh in was last Monday and it was down 900. Next of course is Monday night.
I am now up to 4 ? full programme days. Worst days yet to come?..
Am just sitting on the ph waiting for telecom to answer for our telephone fault at work!!! Oh dear, could be here till 5. I wonder if Manilla will answer...
Having home made burgers for dinner tonight.
Friend and daughter met yesterday, neither thought it went that well but at least they met and they didn't yell or get cross with each other. Just wish friend could get tests done for the health problems. Scared she is going to collapse somewhere, not that she is being left alone because of the problem. Its pretty scarey really.
Well shall away and tidy desk while I wait for telecom. Could probably get lots done in this time but thought I'd have a chat here first.
Have a "brunch" tomorrow with a friend but she wants to meet at the Albany Mall and tehres nowhere there I really want to eat at so will have breakfast before I go and just have a drink I think.
Oops telecom here... hve a good weekend

4 1/2 days is a good effort Lynda, keep it up. PB one scoop of ice cream would be a weekly indulgence but not two. On the upside it has now been three days with no cookies so hopefully the urge will go soon. Have a friend that has been made redundant and is having computer problems while trying to send her CV out, so we are going up there to fix it tomorrow. That means I have no control over what we will have for lunch, so it could be interesting. I do however have control over how much of it I eat so no excuses. I have eaten my snacks this afternoon so should be good to get through tonight. Have made some kumara patties, and been out to the garden and picked everything I need for the salsa . Now I just need to cook the meal, and decide on the evening snack.

I am proud of you for your 4+ days sticking to the programme. I am finding it remarkably easy this time around long may it last. Your icecream had fresh berries so perhaps two scoops would be one fruit and one weekly indulgence. . The kumera patties sound interesting are they a KISS recipe? I am finding making the loaves as muffins and making 16 of them, are perfect for my snacks as I dont need to butter them and They free flow freeze so I just throw two in a container and take them with me to town and by the time I want them they have thawed out. I have two potluck lunches coming up. Both birthdays for ladies in their 80's. Need to find something to take to them that is finger food and on the plan. Suggestions please .

Yes Make some mini quiches in muffin pans. That way you can regulate what is in them and also have full control over how big a serving you have - no one will be cutting the slices too big. Failing that try to come up with something that does not have too many starchy carbs as that it what alot of others will be bringing, even just a dish with grilled chicken can make the difference between balancing and not balancing out your meal.
I have not done so well over the weekend, as is often the way here. I use to have my weigh in on a monday, but changed it to wednesday because I always end up off plan over the weekend.
So today I will try harder, I have the stock for my soup on for my snacks already, so that is my start today. Still have to see how the day will pan out as I am not sure what we will be having as yet.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Mmm will think about the mini quiches. I have my new pot of vege soup on the stove at the moment. Keep up the good work KM I am sure that you didn't get too far off the program. I jumped on the scales today and then jumped around the house like a mad thing I have cracked the 5kg . I don't officially weigh in until Thursday but I am so pleased. Thank goodness the only people to see me were the cats and they just looked horrified. But I am floating on cloud nine. So I have hit a "ty".

Hi there all Well KM ? you know the thing ? its okay when you out if you have to go off programme but you have to make the best choices possible!!! I bet you did! Hey Pamela that?s good about the 5Kg ? now just make sure you don?t blow it before weigh in!!I am hoping to make my next "ty" tonight. It will be more cats and animals around so shall try and contain myself if I make it. I think I will, it should be very close if I don't. Had a messy day on Saturday but I think I was probably 90% on programme. I was meeting a friend for brunch for a pre birthday catch up and I didn't want to go where she said as they only had cakes, so I had a date scone and it wasn't that nice. I just had half. Sunday was 98% - had a couple well a few marshmallows but they are in weekly indulgence and Dylan shoved an eskimo in my mouth so I really had to eat it!!! oops Am thinking about the plate for lunch. I am looking forward to the soup thing!!! It is also my winter snack. I make a big pot like they did in the old days and it usually lasts for 4 days. It?s a staple for me in winter. Didn't bring lunch today and just trying to decide.....

Well PB I see you are going to be keeping us on our toes trying to keep up with you. Well done Lynda good to hear you have done well over the weekend, But... you cannot blame Dylan. At least it was only one so no real damage done. I ended up having three cookies over the weekend, so the damage could be much worse. Today hubby made me a poached egg for breaky and I have had a BLAT wrap for lunch. So all is good on the food front so far. Hubby wants bangers and mash tonight so I will make Carolyns recipe, which is probably not what he wanted, but it does have sausages and mashed potato so close enough. I made a huge pot of soup for my snacks and so have enough in the freezer for about three weeks now, so all is good there. and I am about to have some fruit, just can't decide between and apple, pear or some grapes. I got one of the three quilts I had on the go finished over the weekend, so that is one down. Miss fussy really wants me to get her penguin one done so I will have to have a big push to get it finished before the cold weather starts. It has the most work to do, but is also pretty easy so it is possible. Keep up the good work ladies and please feel free to growl at me when I stray.

KM - growl growl Haha. three cookies isn't bad, but no more It may have been more than one eskimo!!! Dylan is feeding me his food all the time at the moment and if I don't eat it he throws it!!! Naughty boy!!! His Mum is teaching him to say "Naughty mini nanny" and shake his finger at me. He is so funny as he has all the syllables and the finger pointing and moving up and down and it looks so funny!!! Anyway, had chicken drumsticks for lunch and some potato. Weigh in later so shall report in the morning. Have good night and stay away from the bikkies. PB you are doing a great job too - keepit up and keep us posted so you keep us honest too!!

No cookies yesterday I was very good all day, so I feel better about myself now. I have weigh in tomorrow morning so I hope there is a good result, think I will just have steak and veges tonight, playing it safe, Hubby is having a work at home day today so that will mess up my meals a bit. I want to have a souffle for lunch and he won't eat it, however miss fussy will so I have to see what he is wanting to have. We have a lot of milk at the moment so the last couple of mornings I have been having a hot chocolate first thing in the morning, this gets me through the morning chores and then breakfast after eight o'clock. Probably not the best thing to do, and Carolyn would probably growl at me if she knew, but I have been really enjoying having real old fashioned hot chocolate made with milk and no water. Made a deal with Miss Fussy that if she worked hard on her school work I would work hard on the quilt she wants me to do for her, and so I got alot done on it yesterday. It is coming on alot quicker than I expected so she could well have it before winter really sets in after all. I do have to spend some time today fixing the electric fence so that will give me some exercise, a bit of a change from the sitting at the sewing machine that I have been doing for the last week.

Hi there all. Well weigh in was disappointed - only 100 down, however I thought about it and am down again this morning. I usually just have toast and a bit of chicken on Mondays, or something light (in weight) but yesterday I had the potatos which of course are not so light. I know I have had a good week so just have to remind myself before I do anything stupid!!! I will try hard not to. Have a good day.

Wow Lynda congratulations 100 down . That is fantastic. It is a down and you admit you have been eating things you shouldn't so it is terrific that you lost 100g. Celebrate every loss no matter how small. Well KM how did your weigh in go? Well done on the quilts. It is something I need to get on to and finish some of my UFOs in the cupboard. Not in the mood at the moment. I am spending today being very creative with my cardmaking and am just taking a few minutes out to fill in my food record and catch up on here. Have the clothes line full of washing and am feeling fantastic today. I am sure that I am finding it easier this time around because the girls have left home and I don't have as much temptation around the house. I will give my daughter a heap of stuff to take away with her when she comes for dinner next week and I have a box full for the one in Wellington too.

Well Lynda, I would be happy with 100gms down, in fact I would be happy with any sort of loss, so Yay for you. Pb my weigh in is tomorrow so I will confess all then. I have a friend who makes very beautiful cards, not my thing I don't think. I do have a fair few UFOs as well, some probably never will be. I made my first quilt two years ago, I went to classes every month and it took me all year to get it done, but it now looks fab on the bed. It was enough to give me the bug so no more buying duvet covers for now. It is also a great wet day activity. Had the vege Bake for lunch, it has become one of my favourites and will do me two days. Noone else in the house will eat the kumara so get it all to myself
