I have never been a toast person, and I had also never been a jam person, but let just say that homemade fruit toast topped with homemade plum jam has to be the best thing I have ever eaten.  Laugh

I know this is a time of change for me, but I would have never believed that I would be looking forward to having my toast and jam tomorrow. Soup has definitely taken a back seat.

So consider me a convert, yay now I will be able to have those easter hot cross buns Yes

In place of my toast of course, I use the same recipe so could easily replace half a bun with my toast.

No you didn't upset me, I just thought that it was so obvious that it didn't need explaining.

On the down side, I am feeling like a beach ball again, maybe not quite so big as I was but still not very comfortable. Will have to find a way to beat this soon.

I have been busy bottling pears this morning, but I just ran out of seals, so will have to get some more.

I should hopefully have plenty of fruit stored to see me through all those winter deserts.

Oh and I was flicking through the all seasons book this morning and came across the feta and bacon muffins - anyone out there tried them, they sound very good, might have to make them for lunch one day next week and have some vege soup with them  Tongue

hI EVERYONE  Hi
Well its been another busy weekend and day at work.  Recession has gone for the moment here in the office!!! Thats good.

I said to someone this morning - I am sick of food.
I feel like my birthday and my daughters, have been going for the last ten days and I have had enough.  I am sure the scale will say that too tonight but I am weighing and moving onwards, though downwards!!!

Watch this space.  Smack me if I stray!!

Hey Lynda good luck at your weigh in.

I guess that is sometimes the problem with having special days so close together, on the up side once they are all over you have another whole year before you have to tackle them again. Keep your chin up, I am sure it won't be as bad as you think.

Well I am positive in the fact that I have turned over a new leaf.  Confessed all my sins, well not bit by bit, but by the fact that I weighed and confessed to the nonstop eating and I went up 1.1!!!
On the positive side, I did also think I was wonderful for throwing in the rubbish a big easter egg someone gave me so I wouldn't eat it!!!  Now I have never done that before!!!  It was just too tempting and was in the fridge here at work and it was rubbish day so i threw it in!!!

Anyway, I have my diary sheet and today had my scrambled egg and vogels with vegemite for breakfast.  Couscous and tuna with chilli sauce for lunch.  I have decided that I don't like couscous and will swap back to rice.  May just be me but always looks and tastes like glue and though the chilli sauce does disguise it, why bother if I don't really like it.  So I had half the cousecous and threw the rest out and had a slice of toast and vegemite as the other part of my carb.  I have some dried apricots for afternoon tea and dates, just deciding which I prefer today!!  Dinner will be chicken something - I have some fillets out for son and I. Husband having pork chops.

So I am going for 7 good days in a row and if I do that I believe I can get rid of that 1.1 this week.  Honest, I do and I hope I will!!!  Please be there and check up on me.

Pamela B - are you back on line?  Signed up?  You can still talk to us even if you aren't!!!
Yvonne... are you out there.......... we need updates on your life....

Oh Lynda, what do I say. Sorry you gained, but isn't a load off to confess your sins and start over. Gives you a new lease, and the main thing is that you have started again and didn't let it beat you.

You go girl!! Smile

You sound like you  all fired up for a good week, hope you carry me along with you, but my weekends are so messed up.

My timetable has been a bit of a mess today with the things I had to do, but I have mostly stayed on track with it all.

Had an early lunch because I was going to be travelling at lunch time, so soup and muffin at 11.00 and then afternoon tea at 1.00. I made an apple shortcake and had one little piece which was good, but then someone made a coconut lemon cake and everyone was raving about it, so I gave in a tried a little piece. Over all I don't think that was too bad, Porridge for breakfast, soup and those feta bacon muffins and then afternoon tea.

I am a bit hungry now but because I had the cake I will hold off and just have dinner a bit earlier, that should put me back on track. We are having bolognaise with spaghetti squash, so it will end up being a carb free meal.

I am still feeling full of fluid even being quite careful and making sure I have those carb free nights, so there must still be something I have got wrong. Still it can't last forever and and after 4 weeks of it it will have to go soon surely.

I am back, I am back, I am back  Yes . I am not completely right but a whole lot better. I have signed up for another 12 weeks so as you can see I am determined.
Sounds as though you two have been busy. Good for you KM bottling all that fruit. I too love home made plum jam on my toast. Just heaven, much better than store bought. Sorry you had a gain Lynda but well done for throwing out the egg.
I haven't jumped on the scales yet but doubt that I will have put much on if any. Have been living on toast or bread and soup as I just don't want anything else. But today I am going to try and eat properly.
Bout to have my salmon and salad sammy with a cup of soup.
Washed the car, two loads of washing and have done most of the housework this morning so feel happy bout that.

Welcome back Pamela - good on you signing up for 12 weeks.  You will be but a former shadow of yourself in that time and you will keep me inspired in t at time too - no pressure  Laugh

Have had an extremely busy week at work and home - just seems like everyone wants something no matter where I go!!  But thats not a bad thing.

How are you KM?  I was thinking of you last night when I felt so "heavy and bloated".  Love that stupid add on tv for that - its silly but unfortunately so true!!  but its for that cereal not something to fix our problem.  I went back on my naturopaths herbs this morning and already feeling a bit better, thank goodness.  Scales showed it yesterday but hopefully the fluid rush will get rid of it

Welcome back PB, glad you are feeling all recovered.

I have hubby home today having his first sick day in a couple of years, but I convinced him that as he couldn't keep anything down it was probably not a good idea to spread it around the office. I love having him home, but I do hope I don't get it.

Lynda I am still battling on, I am going through a process of elimination as to what helps and what makes it worse. I have been through so many herbs I have lost count, I guess I should have really taken a better approach at the beginning since I have all the naturopathic training already, but I just expected to sort itself quickly so didn't bother. Once I have sorted this out I will be able to focus on the diet again.

Hi all, Well back on the computer and still happily KISSing. Been there done that with that horrible bloated feeling. I have found the best thing for me is just the healtheries one from the supermarket. No idea why it worked for me but it did. I tried all sorts of expensive ones from the healthfood shop and chemists etc and that was the one that worked. Still take it but only one a day now.
Had Tineke home for dinner last night (my youngest comes home once a fortnight for dinner) so I made a dessert. Tried the rhubarb and boysenberry shortcake dumplings. Heaven. We agreed that you could use any fruit that you wanted and it would be just as nice. I made it in individual dishes so have 3 left in the fridge. Will have them as my afternoon snack for the next three days. I really do prefer to be carb free in the evenings. I sleep better and since stopping them have had virtually no hot flushes at night. Go figure.
I will happily keep you on track Lynda. I plan to make the trip to Auckland when I eventually make goal sometime next year. I want to meet Carolyn in person and I think it will be a good excuse to get away from the farm for a while. I have started saving already  Yes . I expect to get to meet you two to while I am away as I wouldn't be able to do it without the support I get on here.
I measured up at the beginning of the month and am really thrilled with the results. I have lost 9cm each off bust, waist and hips, and even 3cm off my wrists. I also took photos this month will try to do that each month to show the shrinking blimp.
I did eventually get my jewellery on Friday. I went to the Bead Gallery in Picton and got a chain bracelet and have put a charm (5kg loss), a bead (1 month of sticking with it) and a semi-precious stone (amathyst this time) (1 stone down). So at the end of each month I will go and get whatever I need added to it. It will be at least a bead and I hope one other thing each time. I will alter the semi-precious stone each time. It will be colourful and a wonderful reminder when it is eventaully full. The girl in ther got really excited when I told her why I was doing it and she was so helpful and had so much fun helping me choose. She can't wait to see me each month.

What a good idea PB you will always have a reminder of what you went through and will always be able to look back see how far you have come.

Your measurement loss sure is impressive, I am so proud of you, you have come so far and stuck by it, now you are seeing the results.

I will get a couple of mornings off as my cow went to visit some big boys for a couple of days. I will be able to lounge in bed for a bit longer, hope it doesn't mess up my routine too much.

This morning I didn't feel quite so uncomfortable when I got up so hopefully the fluid will go and I can get back to normal(whatever that might be).

PB I have never met Caroline either, and as much as I would like to,my timetable doesn't lend its self to going to one of her classes. If you keep losing at the rate you are you will be up here in no time.
