Well we all seem to be getting our food sorted out, so how about a check in for your exercise. Apart from anything else it will give us some good ideas and stop us from getting bored.

I'll go first.

Lately I have been very good and doing some weight work to help with my weight loss. I use to do this and ended up with hugh losses every week once I got the muscles working, so again I am dusting off the weights and straining the muscles. So today I spent 20 minutes on an ab workoout, yesterday I spent 50 minutes on a combined cardio and weight workout, and will repeat that tomorrow.

I tend to be a bit on the lazy side, so I probably need to write on here to keep it up. I decided that the work I do around here is not enough to burn enough calories to actually lose so the extra work should hopefully do the trick.

Thats great stuff KM.
I have got my shoes in my bag for Cairns and my togs and there are 4 pools and a gym and I decided I may well need to get away from the brothers etc so shall be doing some pounding and swimming.  I have packed my pedometer.  I was doing sit ups so shall start again tonight and report back tomorrow.
I have been slack with walks etc.
So thanks for starting this.

Good on you Lynda.

I have been very good and have done my exercises every day this week. My plan is to have one more cardio sculpting session tomorrow and then I can give my body two days of rest.

This could be a bit tricky because hubby is home and we have to take the pigs to the homekill guy, so it might be a busy day. If I don't get it done tomorrow I will do it on Saturday and have a day off, day on, day off type of thing.

My ab workout is really hard, but I do feel that it is helping quite a lot too.

OK so I may be the only one, but I have been very good with my exercise. I have done a good workout at least four times a week for the last three weeks and although I haven't noticed it on the scales as yet, I certainly feel it in my muscles, and suspect that I have shrunk a little Yes

I didn't remember to measure myself when I started, but I do have some measurements from about nine months ago and I did measure myself this morning, but only around my hips as that is the biggest part of me Sad  Anyway there was a 5cm difference between the two so I am not going to complain too loudly.

Come a join me if you dare Agree

Another old topic Smile

I've been doing 20 minutes a night on the treadmill.  I generally walk for 2 minutes 30 and then run for a minute.  I keep doing those intervals until the counter reaches 200 calories and then walk on an incline until I reach 20 minutes.

I haven't started any strength training this time around but I intend to soon.  Angel

What time do you generally work out? I tend to do it quite late at night, around 9:30pm every night.

Hi Diamond,

Any work out is a good work out, especially if it is regular.

I work out about mid morning after my daily chores, as that is the best time for me. There is a lot of information that says the best time is first thing in the morning before breakfast, but anytime you can do it is better than not at all.

Well done

Well, it was my good friends birthday dinner and we went to a restaurant in town. Hungry
After a rather lovely meal, we went to IMAX to watch Avatar in 3D (very good movie by the by  Cool)

To cut a long story short, I've upped my workout so I'm doing interval training up to 250 calories and then walking on incline up to 20 minutes.  Since it didn't kill me today I'll carry on doing it  Laugh

Good on you Diamond, we will all have to work hard to keep up with you.

I have been continuing with my 30 day challenge, day five tomorrow so not that far into it yet.

Diamond, you make me feel very lazy!  Great effort...your routine should certainly help that weight move.   Other than a walk early afternoon (no less than 40 minutes) I rely on housework, dog grooming  and gardening for my exercise.  I used to do yoga when the children where small and  follow exercise plans but as the years have gone by I find I seem to have less privacy...okay..any excuse is better than none:-)  I have started the exercise plan in the MASD book more than once...

I can't even think about heavy exercise when it is so hot here, however Hubby has gone back to work today so have started yoga after he leaves at 5am and before everyone else gets up.  I love a good stretch and it says that it is good for the digestion and metabolism.

Otherwise I'm with the 10L watering can out in the garden hopefully in the evenings when it is cooler.
I hope the gardening gets easier as I lose weight as I really want to get out into it but find it daunting.

Jill there is nothing in the rule book that says it has to be all at once or not at all.

10 minutes at a time will still move you in the right direction. The amount of time you spend can be increased or decreased according to what you can cope with, or what else you have on.

Something is still better than nothing well done

Thankyou, you are right and I'm going to give that a go.  Every little bit helps.

Can anyone give the name of good book on freezing food.  I'm looking to have more home made food and fresh food frozen.
