Well so far so good as far as not cheating for the weekend. If I can get this right I should be able to make some real progress next week.

I always fall off the cart in the weekends so this weekend I will go all out to stay on board.

I have asked hubby not to bring any junk food into the house for a whole week, I will be amazed if he can manage that, but I have asked anyway.

Off to do the shopping Frown which of course means lunch out so will have to choose carefully. Next weekend we are putting on a mid winter christmas dinner so will probably have one meal that I eat a bit too much, but if I can keep it to just that one meal I will be OK.

A mid winter dinner sounds a great idea KM...sometimes we need that little extra treat...

For some reason I am having problems getting onto this site and the forum..keep getting messages of broken links etc..in the end I give up..took five attempts to get through this morning..is it just me?

Sadly Charlie  (dog) died yesterday...so bit emotional today..so many mixed feelings..relief he isnt having to put up with medications and any unwellness..sadness as he has been with me for over fourteen years..I watched him being born...his mother was a very special dog to me and I only have one of her kids left now ..on a positive side am planning to do more walking with the young dogs and try and keep them in tip top health...

Hope everyones having a great weekend, sun is shining here so managed with difficulty to get a load of washing done (the washing machine has now officially broken down!..and my good kitchen scales!)...

Bye for now...

Oh Yvonne how sad for you. Cry Have a hug from me.

I know what you mean by the mixed feelings, it is hard to say goodbye, but can be a relief to know that our loved ones are no longer suffering in any way. Good bye to your sweet boy Angel

I have one foot off the wagon at the moment, I have had an extremely busy morning and it is now lunch time and I have just sat down to have my first food of the day. Not so good. Planning a roast for tonight so that is not to hard, or time consuming.

Well back to it for now.

Thanks KM, yes mixed feelings..sadness, relief, ....I think one of my other canine  boys Al, is missing him most of all, they where on face washing terms so Al is a little lost at present...

After your busy morning hope you found some time for a much needed snack of some sort..I am sure I plan my breakfast before I even get out of bed Smile

Was a roast chicken for us last night, leftovers turned into a pie tonight...managed over an hours walk yesterday and today so hope I can keep it up..tomorrows going to be a pain, trying to find someone to repair the washing machine..husband just walked in with an ad cut from the local paper hopefully the problem is solved..just hope the machine isnt going to cost more than its worth... Sad

Lynda, Pamela..how is life treating you at present...and Night nurse (that was the name?) how are you managing with your food plan?  Do hope its going well for you....

Well planning is one thing, and executing can be problematic sometimes. Today was just one of those days.

Had a toasted sandwich for lunch, Only a hot chocolate for breakfast, and then another for afternoon tea with my cousin who came to pick up her computer.

I have a nice big roast lamb in the oven so that will be dinner, and then there should be plenty of left overs for the week as well.

At least I haven't over eaten, just should have had more than I did.

Guess I would have to say I fell off the wagon again (sigh)

Hi to you both.
Yvonne was sad you had to say goodbye to your Charlie, but we know deep down its the best for them, but it leaves a void and tears.  Have been there so now how hard it is.
On a positive note it is great you can take the younger dogs out walking with you.
KM well you are trying, and that is the important thing.
Have had an up and down week and have to weigh tonight.  Shall report tomorrow.
I am back on track.
I have the same breakfast every day and I know if I get up and start thinking "what shall I have this morning???" that I could be in trouble so have my scrambled egg and then my toast and vegemite and move away from the kitchen!!!

Had to get more firewood on the weekend, drat.  So much used already.  Not fair!

Will report tomorrow.

More firewood aready, Confused it has been warm enough up here that we often haven't bothered with the fire.

On the up side of the weekend it was more under eating than over eating, so not as bad really. Yesterday I just had a toasted sandwich for lunch and then a roast lamb dinner and a small portion of apple crumble and a spoon full of ice cream. The only other thing I had all day was a couple of hot chocolates. No really bad foods so I only fell off because I wasn't eating on plan, not because I was eating too much or off plan foods.

Today, I am firmly back on the wagon so not feeling quite so bad now. Had a good workout this morning and I have been eating on plan all day. Made the cauliflower pie with the hash brown crust for lunch, fruit pudding for snack and dinner will be left over lamb and lots of veges. So not a bod day over all.

Lynda I love eggs for breakfast and now that the chickens are laying again I will start having them again, instead of the porridge I have been having. I just can't bring myself to eat the shop eggs.

hI THERE.
Down 300 which is good.  Fortunately I haven't weighed since 25 May and I was extremely good for nearly 2 weeks but of course didn't weigh Monday Queens birthday and then problems with cars last week.  So if I hadn't been so good up until 10 days ago I would have gone up.  Am very pleased with my loss and shall take it run.  Am back on track last couple of days and have my diary sheet by my side!!

Firewood - yes well, just paid for it actually!!  I didn't get any this year as I had a back log from the last couple of years.  Normally don't start fires till late June however with the broken hot water cylinder again I needed hot showers and the wet back the only thing providing them; then we had that cold snap and so had the fire going constantly; having dylan in and out of the house with him and his mum and neither not being that well with winter ailments made sure that the house warm for him.  So with all those things I decided I'd better buy some more.  So set until this time next year.  If I buy in January its about $100 cheaper so I won't be doing this again. Oh, plus also we have been "going to" sell for so long every year I hope its the last winter there!!! Yeh right....I doubt we'll ever move oh well...

Made sweetcorn, feta and left over corned beef fritters lasst night. Very yummy.

Yay Lynda, I am so pleased for your loss, you needed that boost so I am glad you got it.

It is quite cold up here today, and I haven't had time to exercise yet. Still so far I have been on plan all day so all is not lost. And I might still get the exercise in too.

I have no idea what fire wood costs, but if it is anything like hay buying in the summer when it is not needed would be the way to go. Our neighbours just had to send some of there stock off because they ran out of grass, but I bought in extra hay this year so we are still good.

Morning Ladies,
well done on the loss Lynda..great going!  Am just dropping by to check out the weeks recipe before I start some work..nearly 10.30 and the sun is shining, the grass is frosty and both bird baths are a solid sheet of ice...brrr...

Since Saturday have upped my walks to nearly two hours a day. not sure how long it will last as its not always easy to fit in the time..but will keep trying...

We seem to manage here with the oil filled type heaters, not sure how economical they are power wise...husband had both fire places pulled out here when we moved in Sad ..one was the type that heated your water as well...

Hope to pick up a new washing machine today as mine is going to cost $500 or so to repair, a new one will cost about $750...so....only need a basic type, nothing fancy...

Nuff rambling, better finish this coffee and vaccum up the dust bunnies...will be so glad when all the leaves have gone, the dogs bring them inside on their hairy feet and coats..bye for now...

Hello ladies, Well I am still in the land of the living. Have not been on the diet for a while. Haven't put any weight on but am about to try and get back on course again. Having major health problems but am working on them

Freezing cold here and the fire never goes out and all the thermals are in full use. Lots of layers so it looks as if I have put weight on. Just think when I get to take them all off in the summer it will be a surprise for everyone.

Must go and check on all the recipes.

Smile Welcome back Pamela.  So nice to know that you are basically at least well.  We were getting worried.  I asked Carolyn at weigh in the other night if you had been weighing in and she said that you hadn't.  So am glad you have told us that you around, wrapped up warm.
I laughed at your comment about the layers and noone will notice till summer.  i did that and wow, it really was impressive.  I ditched my winter layers and came into work with a new suit I'd bought in Oz when away with my mum and hid it away and I went into work with my new sort of royal blue just above the knee skirt and a long very fitted jacket that finished about 6 inches above it and a lovely white fitted top (I'd lost about 18 kilos at this stage) and new high heels and wow the comments!  Even my husband couldn't believe his eyes.  It was awesome.  Then one of his clients came in that is a real womaniser (and brother of a very good friend) and wow, husband didn't like the attention he kept giving me)  - haha I loved every minute of it!!!
Must do this again!

have been on programme all week.

Look after yourself Pamela and keep us posted.  I was worried you'd frozen into an icicle.
Take care

Just read back over the mail that I had missed.
Yvonne so sorry to hear that Charlie passed away  Cry . It is so very hard when you lose a pet as they are just one more member of the family.
Well done to you all for your losses on the plan.
My firewood has been getting used for quite a while now. Keep nagging at hubby to bring me up a decent load to the house. We go through so much as the fire never goes out now.
Was minus 5 when I came home at 5pm last night and that was air temperature. Dread to think what the frost temp was. But today we have quite a good breeze and have had a thaw. The river was getting a good build up of ice on it and the small creeks were frozen over. But it has all gone now... well most of it.
Have the line full of washing today and am making the most of the breeze to dry it.

Well our winter soltice/midwinter christmas went well yesterday. I won't say that I ate on plan, but it could have been much worse than it was.

Back on plan this morning with my fruit and oats. I have been very good with getting my exercise done over the weekend.

I was worried about weather our firewood would last us through the winter, but it hasn't been over cold, and hubby went out and split some more on Saturday. I spent the whole summer trying to get him to do it, and he wouldn't so now that it is cold he wants a fire.

PB glad to hear that you are not frozen onto a door knob or something, hope your health issues clear themselves soon.

Yvonne, I am pleased to see that you are back and chiming in more often.

Lynda, want can I say, You keep us all going a bit like mother hen rounding up her chicks. Thank you.
